Annet, from Uganda, holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental management and is currently enrolled in a Bachelors in Business Administration at University of the People. She is a proud mother of three and happily married. Annet has been part of a number of environmental projects especially working with youth and women in Soroti, Eastern Uganda. Their objective is to increase environmental consciousness through training and capacity building in food security (mainly urban farming practices), proper waste management, tree planting and nursery bed establishment, as well as renewable energy. They also highlight green entrepreneurship as a way to earn a livelihood while also taking care of the environment.

Further, Annet is part of a group doing research about food security levels in the Teso subregion given the trends of climate change and its impacts.
