Evode Hakizimana Havyarimana

Youth Ambassador

Evode Hakizimana Havyarimana is a Burundian refugee born and raised in Zimbabwe.

With a professional qualification in Social Entrepreneurship from the Social Innovation Academy (SINA) in Uganda, he has dedicated his life to working with his fellow refugees to find hope through an initiative he founded at the Tongogara Refugee Settlement in Zimbabwe entitled the Transformation Innovation Hub (TIH).

Since 2019, he has been instrumental in helping his fellow refugees and youths in Zimbabwe and across Africa realize their potential through social entrepreneurship. His advocacy work spans various global platforms of which he is currently a member, including the UNHCR Global Youth Advisory Council, the European Union Youth Sounding Board, UNICEF Adolescent and Youth Advisory Council.

Moreover, he is serving as the Program Coordinator at Transformation Innovation Hub for the Strategic Partnership Agreement under ActionAid Zimbabwe, and a mentor at SINA Acceleration Social Entrepreneurship and Researcher at Refugee-Led Research Hub, where he collaborates with multiple organizations to ensure active youth involvement in creating positive change.

He has also represented refugees and youths at various prominent events including the Stanbic Bank Entrepreneurs Conference, Social Innovation Summit in Uganda, UNHCR GLOBAL REFUGEE FORUM in Geneva and the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, Falling Wall Lab Zimbabwe Lab Star and more.

His passion for social change and unwavering dedication to his cause makes him a beacon of hope for refugees and marginalized youths in Zimbabwe.
