Isaac Ndyamuhaki, Uganda

I am involved in designing and implementing climate response innovations to increase climate change resilience. These projects are centered on sustainable energy and they include: fuel briquettes recycled from agricultural waste as an alternative for charcoal and firewood; fabrication of solar dryers to reduce post-harvest loss for smallholder farmers; and the manufacture of clean cooks stoves for household energy saving. I am also implementing the Eco Teens project at Kigata primary school in Uganda, with support of the Roulac seed-funding grant. Here we train pupils in sustainable food production practices including mushroom and vegetable growing through organic methods.
