The Food@COP Initiative and Youth Leadership Program with Isaiah Thomas
The Food@COP initiative successfully advocated for prioritizing plant-based food at COP28, leading to two-thirds of the food served at the conference being plant-based. This achievement reflects my commitment to promoting sustainable food practices at high-level international events. By engaging stakeholders and leveraging collective action, the initiative sets a precedent for future climate conferences to adopt environmentally friendly food policies.
Additionally as a youth leader for the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub's Youth Leadership Program, I play a crucial role in empowering and engaging young leaders worldwide to transform food systems. The program provides training, resources, and platforms for youth to develop their skills and advocate for sustainable practices. Through this initiative, I work to amplify youth voices, promote innovative solutions, and influence policies for resilient and equitable food systems.
