Pike Ng’oma, Malawi

In Malawi, many young people face challenges ranging from unemployment, Poverty, corruption, lack of participation in various decision making processes and minimal understanding of their responsibility as far as climate change is concerned. To address these challenges, Pike founded We Clean We Green, a youth-led organization with the objectives below:

 1. To clean and Green the damaged environments of Malawi

2. To empower young people with knowledge and skills on environmental management and protection so that they can make informed choices regarding their responsibilities on caring for the environment

3. To help in mitigation of climate change impacts through cleaning and greening the Malawi’s environment Support Communities with Livelihoods intervention in food security, health & sanitation, Disaster risk preparedness, reduction & Management, education, gender empowerment and Climate change

4. To work with other local and international Organizations in implementing projects that will help and contribute to Sustainable development goals.

Their vision is to bring together young people with an aim of combating the effects of Environmental degradation in Malawi.
