Within my work as a youth leader (in UN events and with Youth4Nature and other organizations), I advocate and bring awareness of food systems issues, especially related to the Middle East. After I published "The water consumption of different diets in Denmark" and went on to research sustainable diets, I soon found that food systems are complex, and vary regionally. I now focus on the social and food nexus, food justice in the Middle East, the social aspect of environmental change, and I advocate for integrating youth into decision-making processes.
