Hummus



Ingredients

  • 1 can of chickpeas or 1/2 cup dried (soaked overnight)

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • 3-4 tbsp tahini

  • ice

  • salt, to taste

  • cumin, to taste (optional)

  • olive oil

  • paprika (optional)


Instructions

  1. Overcook the chickpeas until the peels come off (this step is optional when using canned chickpeas, but helps with smoothness)

  2. Add lemon juice and garlic to a mixer and blend for a minute

  3. To the mixer, add tahini, chickpease, cumin, and salt to taste

  4. with the mixer running, slowly add olive oil until your desired texture is achieved

  5. Plate and serve with olive oil on top and sprinkle on paprika if desired
